Polyethylene (PE) or polythene is the most standard plastic around. It's used for e.g. plastic bags, plastic films, geo-membranes, and containers including bottles. Compared to polypropylene, polyethylene is mesh more soft and flexible. Polyethylene mesh is also more robust in cold weather circumstances and more resistant to fracturing. The soft, cushion traits of polyethylene make it ideal for protective purposes.
