Product Description

Flour mill mesh is commonly used in the food industry for sifting, screening and filtering purposes. Our flour mesh are mainly made of nylon monofilament yarns. Due to wear resistant and durable propery of nylon material, our nylon flour mesh with accurate and even mesh openings ensure long lifespan and excellent performance for different mill uses.

SHARE flour mesh can be customized into different shapes, such as rolls, pieces, sheets, tubes and more to match various sieving equipment including plansifters, purifiers, and centrifugal sifters.

Polyester flour mesh is also available on demand.



Choosing the optimal flour mesh for your flour mills involves considering several technical points. Here are six key factors to keep in mind:

1. Mesh Opening Size: The mesh opening size is critical and determines the final flour fineness and quality. Different types of sifters require specific mesh opening sizes. For example:

 

  • Coarse: Mesh openings greater than 1200-900 micrometers (um) are suitable, and materials like PET and PA grit gauze can be used.
  •

  • Medium: Mesh openings greater than 1000-212um are needed, and Polyamide grit gauze is a suitable choice.
  • Fine: For fine flour, mesh openings greater than 300-90um are appropriate, and Polyamide flour sieve is recommended.
2. Wear-Resistant Property: The wear-resistant property of the mesh cloth is crucial for its service life. Nylon offers the best wear resistance, followed by polyester (which is about 70% as durable as nylon), while natural silk has the lowest wear resistance. In the same material, thicker yarn diameters provide better wear resistance.

 Elongation: Elongation measures the fabric's ability to resist deformation. Natural silk has the lowest elongation, while heat-setting treatment can reduce elongation in polyester and nylon, making them similar to silk in this regard.

Antistatic Property: All flour sieve cloth should be antistatic to prevent static electricity from capturing fine flour particles and blinding the sifter screen. Nylon mesh has better antistatic performance due to its high hygroscopicity.

Width: Consider the width of the mesh cloth to meet the needs of your high-yield and high-square plansifters, as it can improve milling efficiency and productivity. Choose the optimal width based on the specifications of your plansifter and purifiers. Options like 110cm, 127cm, 136cm, 158cm, etc., are available to meet various requirements.

Effective Sieving Area:
This refers to the percentage of the opening area within the unit screen. It is influenced by factors such as yarn diameter and weaving pattern. Ensure that the mesh cloth you choose provides an effective sieving area that suits your milling requirements.
