Polyethylene is suitable for mass-produced products because of it's low cost.
As this material is strong, chemical-resistant, and hygienic, it can be used for applications related to the environment and foods that directly contact the human body.
As polyethylene is the second lightest fiber, next to polypropylene, it has low heat resistance and no water and moisture absorption properties.
However, it is also characterized as being resistant to low-temperature environments and does not deform at temperatures down to -20ºC.
