The coffee machine filter is a component of a coffee machine that is responsible for filtering out the particle of coffee grounds from the brewed coffee, to protect the device(pump). It is typically a cylindrical tube made of metal or plastic, and it is designed to hold a paper or mesh filter. PET (polyester)filter mesh is the fabric mostly used in the coffee machine filter.
Polyester is one of the strongest fibers and remains resistant even if it gets wet and exposed to friction. Its low moisture absorbency prevents it from expanding, contracting, becoming wrinkled, and it also features resistance to chemicals.
